The Ekins family asked me to design an embosser stamp for when they want to send something officially from Dave Ekins in regards to the first Baja 1000 race. They asked for something classy and bold. Since Dave and his friend Bill Robertson did the first ride on a motorcycle, I thought it would be fitting to use a tire design for the outer ring and make the whole stamp feel like a motorcycle tire. It was important to include the date and the starting and finishing locations. This is how it turned out. Not only where they happy, they used this graphic as a secondary graphic for a t-shirt design I did for them. This ended up on the left hip of the shirt. It looked pretty cool.
